I am the Data Services & Business Reference Librarian and provide help with data resources in the social sciences including U.S. Census data, government publications, political science, and business and economics. I also assist students and faculty in identifying appropriate print and electronic resources for their projects and in searching business databases.
I came back to the UGA Libraries in October 2008 after a two-year stint managing the MBA Career Management Center at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School in Chapel Hill, NC. Prior to my work at UNC Kenan-Flagler, I worked at the UGA Libraries from 1999 to 2006 as the Journalism & Media Studies Librarian as well as a Reference & Instruction Librarian. I now work in the Reference Department in the Main Library
My research interests include reference and user services, Library 2.0 technologies, distance education, and mass media and culture. I was an adjunct professor for North Carolina Central University’s School of Information and Library Sciences from 2004 to 2007 and taught classes in basic reference services, social sciences reference services and humanities reference services. I also taught the introductory reference class for the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008.
